They are enforced by the members themselves and by a mutually agreed upon Range Safety Officer when three or more members are utilizing the range.
SAFE GUN HANDLING
- Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
- Always keep your finger off the trigger until the gun is pointed at the target.
- Always keep the action open, magazine removed and the gun unloaded until you are on the firing line and ready to fire.
- Before anyone may go forward of the firing line, all firearms must be unloaded with the actions open, and either benched, holstered, or grounded. Those remaining on the firing line will step away from the line and remain there until everyone has returned from downrange.

- Uncased or unholstered firearms will be immediately unloaded and carried with the action open, magazine removed and with the muzzle pointed down until safely benched or grounded with muzzle pointing down range.
- Loaded firearms are permitted on the firing line only and will be pointed downrange at all times. A loaded firearm will never be left unattended . Loading & unloading will be performed only within the enclosed area of the range.
- Treat every firearm as if it was loaded until you personally have proven otherwise.
- Obey instantly all firing line commands. At the command CEASE FIRING, or one long whistle blast all shooters will IMMEDIATELY unload and bench or holster an empty weapon.
- Whenever a miss-fire or hang fire primer only or other malfunction occurs, the firearm will be pointed downrange until the malfunction is corrected and rendered safe.
- Dry firing is permitted on the firing line only. Dry firing or other gun handling at the clubhouse except as required for instruction is prohibited.
